“C’etait un rendez vous” is the 1976 short film by french film maker Claude Lelouch. The short film seems to be about a (young?) man in love who is late for a rendevous with his lover … so he breaks every traffic law in the books. Pedestrians are passed, pigeons sitting on the streets are scattered, red lights are ignored, one-way streets are driven up the wrong way, and center lines are crossed. All of this to get there on time.
It is an amazing bit of driving and, by an interesting twist of fate, it is completely real. What happened was that Claude Lelouch couldn’t get the permits to close the roads in order to film so he did it on open roads, with live traffic. Keep that in mind when watching this:
